If you want to add size, go easy on the carbs. if you want to burn fat, go easy on the carbs.

Be consistent.  Don't be afraid to ask questions

without having a go at you? did you add size while going easy on carbs?
my best growth was on mod-high carbs.
just making a point.

Mate, maaaate, I've had some pretty low carbs as you know and we're both noticing muscular growth...

I wonder whether anyone has ever done some study on whether low carbs just forces you to do less therefore less size or whether carbs/insulin has dramatic effects on protein synthesis

Good question Psydone - I'm of the opinion that carbs don't aid in muscle growth other than sparing protein  which can be avoided by eating more protein than you need and making sure you take in enough good fats.
