Hi my name is Daniel,

I am conducting a study I am commencing a study on body builders and am trying to build up contacts (which is so hard to do!). There is  body building survey designed to look at the current practices used by body builders and this is an introduction into my main study. I am investigating the respiratory system of body builders and training adaptations that may create potential imbalances between their inspiratory and expiratory muscles.  The other part of the study looking at the breathing of body builders during sleep (sleep quality) and identifying whether any apneas are present (which may result from excessive muscle mass pressing against airways when lying down). I am also looking at slow wave sleep which is the phase of the sleeping cycle that growth hormone is released and how a protein supplement prior to sleep affects this.

If you can think of anyone male body builders that would be interested in completing the survey or even the study please let me know.

The main study involves 3 visits to my university (in Sydney), and the information from the test results will be quite useful in terms of their optimising the training.
